A campsite where your dog can come too
A lot of campsites say no to pets. We’re a small, family-run site on a working farm, and we’re happy to have dogs, provided they’re the kind of dog that makes a quiet campsite easy for everyone.
What we ask is simple: your dog should be well trained, under your control, and not a barker. Sound carries across open ground, and one dog barking at everything can spoil the night for the whole site. If your dog is calm and stays with you, you’ll both fit right in.
Space to settle in
There are no numbered stands. The campsite is open ground under the trees, and you pick any free spot when you arrive. We cap the number of bookings each weekend, so there’s room to set up with a bit of space around you. That helps if your dog likes some distance from neighbours.
The grounds are fully fenced, and the farm’s own security patrols the surrounding area.
What’s here for you
- Hot showers: gas-heated, three in the ladies’ and three in the men’s ablution block.
- Power: electricity is included, from shared plug points around the site. Bring an extension cord, and a caravan adaptor if you need one.
- Lapa: a covered area with a fireplace, open to all guests.
- The waterfall: two footpaths lead from camp down to the falls. The old gravel road is the easier one. Both are a proper walk, done at your own risk.
Bring everything you need
There’s no shop on site, no firewood and nothing to rent, so bring your own tent or caravan, food, firewood, and your dog’s bowls, lead and bedding. Wartburg is about 15 minutes away for fuel and groceries.
A working farm, not a resort
Expect farm noises, rough paths in places and weather that does what it likes. Quiet at night applies to people and dogs alike.
